University Recreation offers personal training sessions for patrons to work one-on-one, with a partner, or in small groups with nationally-certified personal trainers. Our trainers utilize a unique combination of equipment and body weight exercise to guide their clients into achieving personal fitness goals. Individual, partner and small group sessions are available and are tailored specifically to meet individual needs at both facilities. Personal Training Services are only available to UREC members.

Small Group Training is perfect for those who want to sweat with friends. Groups of three to six people can work with one of our nationally-certified personal trainers who will create a workout program that is tailored to fit the group’s needs. Small Group Training is $50 per session, and there is no limit on how many sessions can be purchased. Each group will select a member to serve as the main point-of-contact, who is responsible for turning in all required paperwork along with payment to the Membership Office located in the Student Recreation Center. So if you’re ready for a fitness party, Small Group Training is the way to go!
An assessment of body composition through the use of air displacement. The Bod Pod is a non-invasive procedure that requires the individual to sit quietly for approximately 45 seconds in a specially designed chamber. The Bod Pod is one of the most accurate measures of body composition that provides a breakdown of your body fat and lean muscle mass.
Assessment of current workout program, help with developing personal fitness goals, and development of an individualized fitness program that will help you accomplish your goals. The consultation may also include some measurements that will assist the trainer in designing your personalized program as well as determining its efficacy.
