To register in person, print and fill out the Registration Form and bring both documents by the Membership Office at the Student Recreation Center during our business hours. Lifeguarding Course

The purpose of the ARC Blended Learning Lifeguard course is to provide entry-level lifeguard candidates with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide a professional level of care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over.

Lifeguarding Review Course

The purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguard Review course is to give individuals the opportunity to review the course content within a formal course setting. The review course format optimizes a participant’s ability to successfully complete the knowledge and skills evaluations to earn recertification in Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED.

Lifeguarding Instructor Course

The primary purpose of the ARC Lifeguarding Instructor course is to train Instructor Candidates to teach the American Red Cross Lifeguarding courses.

Lifeguarding Instructor Review Course

The American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor Review course is an abbreviated recertification course for currently certified Instructors. The purpose of the course is to allow participants to review the course content and practice skills in a formal setting and complete the final written exam.

Water Safety Today and Home Pool Safety

The purpose of Water Safety Today course is to teach participants how to recognize and respond to emergencies in, on and around the water.

Swimming and Water Safety Instructor

The purpose of the American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor course is to train Instructor Candidates to teach courses and presentations in the American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety program by developing their understanding of how to use the course materials, how to conduct training sessions and how to evaluate participants’ progress.

Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED

The purpose of the American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED course is to help course participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac breathing and first aid emergencies.
