University Recreation (UREC) has a variety of spaces ideal for events, fitness activities, meetings and sporting events. Use of any UREC indoor or outdoor space is subject to a rental fee. Area fees do not include personnel, sporting equipment or miscellaneous charges. If you are interested in reserving space, please review the reservation guidelines and submit a reservation request form.

The Climbing Wall facility at Robert E. Witt Center provides top rope, bouldering and auto belay climbing. Reservation fee includes harness and shoe rentals for all participants, along with climbing wall staff trained to belay and provide climbing assistance.
Two-hour rental increments at the climbing wall are available on Saturdays and Sundays during the semester, and Monday to Sunday throughout the summer break.

Max group size for a two-hour rental at the Outdoor Pool Complex (OPC) is 300 participants. Two-hour rental increments are only offered outside of normal operating hours from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. For summer camp rentals, please reach out to the Events Coordinator at urecevents@ua.edu for pricing and available times.
