Oak Mountain is famous for being Alabama’s largest State Park and is home to over 50 miles of recreational trails. It’s well known “Red Trail” has been cited by the International Mountain Biking Association on their list of EPIC rides! Don’t worry, though; these trails are built for beginners and experts alike. Sign up soon and join us on some technical training and fast-paced fun!
Leave the Outdoor Rec Rental Center early Saturday the 17th (6-7 AM) and return mid to late evening (7-8 PM). This can be a challenging trip if you have never been mountain biking or are not in decent shape. Expect several hill climbs and downhill sections as well as the potential for rocky sections. The more comfortable you are on a bike, the better off you will be.

Participants will be notified of any changes. Provided by the Outdoor Rec: Mountain bike, helmets, two trained guides (at least one of which will be bike savvy), camping gear (i.e. tent, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, headlamps, cooking equipment),
What to Bring: Comfortable shorts (ideally padded biking shorts, but these are not required), closed toe shoes, socks, t-shirt, light jacket, gloves, bandana, water bottle(s), snacks and sack lunch, and money or sack meal for dinner on the drive home. FOOD WILL NOT BE PROVIDED FOR THIS TRIP.
