Lap Swim Reservations are Open!

Thank you for your patience and cooperation in helping us keep everyone healthy as we begin to reopen swimming pools.  To ensure a safe environment we will continually review the effectiveness of protocols in compliance with local, state, and University directives and industry best practices.  Please be patient and know that these protocols have been put in place for your safety and to accommodate as many members as possible each day.

Due to restrictions regarding COVID-19 safeguards, advanced reservation of a lap lane is required, serving no more than two swimmers per lane.  Reservations can be made as early as one week in advance and as late as one hour in advance, based on availability.  Reservations are for a scheduled block, allowing time to swim, the transition from the pool, and exit the facility; i.e., swim 45 minutes followed by 15 minutes to change and exit the facility.  Time gaps between sessions are intended to permit staff time to clear the pool area and clean before the next session begins.

If you know that you cannot make your lane reservation, please cancel your reservation online as soon as possible to open the spot for another member of the community.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the duration of each lane reservation?

Reservations will be for scheduled swim times. At the end of your swim time, the lifeguards will clear the pool and pool area to clean before the next group arrives. Reserved lanes that are not claimed will be released five minutes after scheduled start for walk-in participants.

NOTE: Reservations begin from the start of your reserved time slot, NOT from the time of arrival.

What if I need to cancel my reservation?

If you need to cancel, please do so as soon as possible to allow other members the opportunity to register for the time slot.

We are hopeful that members will be respectful of the need to make reservations. However, should we notice a member abusing the system, we may see the need to have a conversation with them. These incidences will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

If lanes are available but I don’t have a reservation, can I still swim?

Yes! You are welcome to have a lane if there is availability. Reserved lanes that are not claimed will be released five minutes after scheduled reservation for walk-in participants.

If all the lanes are reserved and you don’t have a reservation, you will not be able to access the facility.
