Aquatic Center 25-yard pool temporarily closed

University Recreation appreciates your continued patience as the Aquatic Center’s 25-yard pool is closed for repairs until further notice. Please see the below pool information for alternative options while the 25-yd pool is closed.

Aquatic Center Lap Swim in the 50-Meter Pool

(Modified October 9, 2017 due to the 25-yard pool closure)

Monday through Friday: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Monday through Friday: 5:30 p.m. to 7:30  p.m. (Three lanes available)

Monday through Thursday: 7:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.

Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to Noon

*The Aquatic Center Pool will be closed for home Swimming & Diving Meets the day of and the day prior to the event.

*There will be no family swim hours on Saturdays at the Aquatic Center during the 25-yard pool closure.

*The Deep Water Fitness Class has been canceled during the 25-yard pool closure.

Student Recreation Center Indoor Pool Hours

(Bama Swim School lessons moved to the SRC pool due to the 25-yard pool closure and will limit lanes as indicated below)

Sunday: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. (Limited lanes available from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45p.m. through early November)

Monday: 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Tuesday: 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. (Limited lanes available from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45p.m. through early November)

Wednesday: 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Thursday: 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. (Limited lanes available from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. through early November)

Friday: 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (Limited lanes available from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. through early November)

Saturday: 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Solar Powered Multispace Pay stations

The pay stations are available to be used by visitors, students, faculty and staff with or without a current permit. The pay station will accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, $1 bills and change.

The new solar powered pay stations are located at:

  • Campus Drive Parking Deck Surface lot (South Side)
  • Upper Recreation Center

Pay Station Rates

  • First 30 minutes: Free
  • First Hour: $1.00
  • Every hour thereafter: $2.00

Crimson Ride Bronze Route

The Bronze Route runs 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. Monday through Friday from the Hub, Gorgas, Rose, Soccer, Child Development, Capstone, Tennis Courts, & North Commuter.

TransLoc is a Web site that will allow you to view the buses in “real time” as they travel on the routes around campus. The buses have GPS technology and can be tracked from a cell phone with a browser and PDA or a computer.
