ALABAMA WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL
2009, 2010 & 2011 National Champions!!!!!!!!!!
The University of Alabama Wheelchair Basketball program started with a women's team in the fall of 2003. In the fall of 2006, the program added a men's wheelchair basketball. Both teams compete in the National Wheelchair Basketball Association.

The women's team has finished in the top 5 the last two years at the national tournament and is ranked 3rd for 2006 in the women's division of the national wheelchair basketball association.
Three of the women's team members are on the U.S. National team that won the Silver medal in the 2006 Wheelchair Basketball World Championships in Amsterdam. One of our team members is a member of the Canadian National Wheelchair Basketball Team that won the gold medal in Amsterdam. Six team members were selected to represent their respective countries at the Osaka Cup in Osaka, Japan in February 2006.
