Ultimate Frisbee traveled to Chattanooga, Tennessee for the Classic City Classic tournament. Alabama finished 6th in the tournament after being seeded last going into the event. Alabama finished 2nd in their pool with wins over Florida State 13-6, William and Mary 13-2, and South Carolina 13-6. Alabama fell to Wisconsin 13-1, and Tennessee 13-10. Alabama followed up in Bracket play losing to National Caliber Virginia 15-9 but bounced back to beat Delaware 15-14. Great weekend guys!

Fishing travled to Lake Logan Martin for the Auburn Fall Classic. Out of 44 boats, Alabama took home 3rd, 9th, and 12th place.

Hockey traveled to North Carolina this weekend to face stiff Regional competition. Alabama lost their second straight shootout in Round 1 to North Carolina 4-3. Alabama followed up with defending Regional Champion Tennessee losing a close game 5-2. Alabama won in Round 3 against Christopher Newman 3-2.

Rugby hosted Jacksonville State on Saturday. Alabama had their most complete game of the season, winning 17-0.

Crew traveled to Augusta, Georgia for the Head of the South Regatta this weekend. Alabama faced extreme conditions this weekend, but made a good showing.

Fishing traveled to Pell City for a Qualifying Tournament this weekend. Ben Weldon, Warren Hoffman, and Daniel Taylor took 1, 2, 3 in this event.

Hockey hosted Florida State this weekend for Military Appreciation Night on Friday and Jefferson County Students Night on Saturday. Alabama won Friday Night 7-1 and fell short on Saturday. Alabama came from 2 down in the last minute to force overtime and lost 2-1 in a shootout.

Men's Soccer tied Mississippi State 1-1 in Starkville this weekend. Alabama will travel to Birmingham on November 22nd.

Rugby traveled to Mississippi State for a scrimmage. Alabama lost 10-5 with Gil Barnes scoring his first try.

Volleyball hosted the first annual T-town Throwdown tournament this weekend. 20 teams, both men's and women's competed in this great event. The Men's A team went 3-5 for the weekend, losing to the tournament champions in bracket play. The women's team took 3rd and 5th for the women's division.

Climbing took seven members to Steele, Alabama for the Horse Pens 40. All Alabama members climbed well, and Ben Lowe took first in the beginner’s category.


Crew traveled to Huntsville Alabama for the Head of the Hooch Regatta. With over 3000 participants in the 2nd biggest race in the United States, Alabama placed 9th in the contest.


Division III Hockey hosted Division II Louisiana Lafayette this weekend. Alabama remained perfect at home, winning 7-1 Friday Night and 4-1 Saturday Night. Alabama will take on Florida State on November 13th and 14th.


Kayak competed in the Green Race in Saluda, North Carolina. Luke Scott finished 53rdin the competition and was the fastest racer from the state of Alabama.

Men's Soccer hosted the Alumni on Friday Night. The current squad outplayed the Alumni and won 5-1.


Men’s Lacrosse hosted MTU in their first match in Division I competition. Alabama and MTSU battled back and forth before MTSU prevailed 12-11. Men's LAX also hosted their alumni in the annual Alumni game. The current squad beat the Alum 10-7.


Women’s Lacrosse hosted Milsaps on Sunday. Many Alabama players scored multiple tries as Alabama won 23-0.


Women’s Rugby traveled to Mobile for the Battleship Tournament. Alabama played 15 girls and no substitutes against Texas, Auburn, and Ga Tech. Alabama went 0-3, but are starting to come to form in the team’s first year. Alabama scored 10 on Auburn as Aubrie scored two tries.

Bowling competed in their first tournament of the year in Atlanta Georgia this weekend. Alabama finished with a 5-3-1 record and 23rd overall for the tournament.

Hockey traveled to Springville, Arkansas to take on Arkansas. Alabama and Arkansas held close for the first 30 minutes of the game, before Arkansas pulled away late to win 3-0.

Men’s Soccer traveled to Auburn to face the Tigers in an early Iron Bowl matchup. Ben Patrick scored two goals in the second half as Alabama won 3-0.

Men’s and Women’s Wheelchair Basketball hosted Arkansas, Lakeshore, and Shepard this weekend at the Eagle Classic. Alabama performed well this weekend, combining for a 7-1 record.  Alabama will travel to Atlanta Georgia on November 6th.

Table Tennis made a Regional appearance in Clinton, Mississippi. Alabama took home 4th place in the Region by defeating New Orleans and Southern Miss. Alabama will get back to work for the Spring semester and continue to work towards hosting Regionals in the Fall of 2010.

Ultimate Frisbee hosted Mississippi State in a scrimmage over the weekend. Alabama won both games to cap off a great October.

Women’s Rugby held an intersquad scrimmage in a Halloween contest. Players wore costumes, facepaint, and masks for the showdown between UA Red and UA Black. UA Black won the game 32-17.

Racquetball traveled to Memphis, TN for the U.S. Open Racquetball Tournament. Kara Mazur and Sharon Jackson performed very well finishing 6-2 on the weekend. Sharon Jackson qualified for Women's Pro.

Rugby traveled to Birmingham for the SEC Tournament. Alabama took on heavyweight and SEC tournament winner Tennessee in the first round, and lost 60-0. Alabama looked to save their tournament hopes against Ole Miss in a defensive battle in Game 2. Alabama took a 5-0 lead with 10 minutes to go before Ole Miss scored on a last minute try. Alabama fell 7-5.

Ultimate Frisbee traveled to Statesboro, Georgia for Southerns. Alabama made it to the semi-finals and finished with a 6-2 record for the weekend.

Waterski traveled to Bakersfield, California for the U.S. Collegiate National Championship. Alabama made a great showing, finishing runner up to Louisiana Monroe in a close finish. Complete results can be found at www.ncwsa.com. Congrats to Waterski!!

Hockey hosted Emory on Friday Night in another dominating performance for the Frozen Tide. Alabama took a 10-1 1st period lead and never looked back, winning 17-4. Andrew Santi recorded his first hat trick.

Men's Soccer hosted Kennesaw State on Friday. Justin Pino and Justin Boyington scored goals as Alabama won 2-0.

Rugby traveled to Mobile for the Select Side Tournament. Alabama beat Southern Miss 24-10 and loss to Tulane 26-22 and Mississippi State 20-0. Zach Blalock was named man of the tournament.

Triathlon traveled to McCormick, South Carolina this past weekend. Alabama finished 3rd with their male team and had the 8th best male out of 90 for the race.

Climbing traveled to Boone, North Carolina where thousands of people came to participate in the competition. All members performed very well.

Men's Soccer traveled to Birmingham to compete against Samford, and scored 4 goals in the second half to win 4-0.

Rugby hosted the annual Old Boys Game this weekend. After a scoring frenzy, the alumni pulled away with the win, 22-25.

Hockey hosted Louisiana State University on Steve Fillo Night. Alabama and LSU showed their support for #83 by displaying his number on their jerseys. Alabama won 12-2.

Rugby hosted Florida State University and split with a 26-0 win- bouncing back from a 0-15 loss.

Table Tennis competed in a scrimmage against UAH before Regionals. They made a strong showing- winning 3 out of 9 matches against a good UAH squad.

Water Ski competed in the Regionals Tournament in Jasper, GA. They took first place overall in the Eastern Region.

Women's Volleyball traveled to the University of Florida and Clayton State University. The A team came away with a 2-3-1 record while the B team went 2-2.

Hockey competed against North Florida and dominated, coming away with an 18-2 win and 6-0 win.

Men's Soccer hosted Georgia this weekend. Highly talented Regional foes battled for seedings next month in Chattanooga. It was all Georgia in this match, nading the Tide their first loss 3-0.

Water Ski competed in a Team Trials Tournament in Greenwood, SC. They won overall and in each individual event.

Women's Rugby competed in their first competition as a club. Forming in May, 2009, Alabama traveled to Southern Miss in a friendly and fell in this one. Alabama took away numerous positives from this game and look forward to building over the upcoming season.

Women's Soccer competed in Atlanta over the weekend in a three team round robin. Alabama fell to Georgia Tech and Georgia but look to bounce back this weekend against Southern Miss and New Orleans.

Men's Rugby hosted Huntsville in a friendly this past weekend. Rescheduled from the previous night, both teams competed in a monsson in a 8 AM matchup. Huntsville outplayed Alabama to win 23-7.

Women's Soccer traveled to Birmingham for their matches of the season. Alabama lost to UAB in round 1 (3-1), beat Vandy in round 2 (1-0), and lost to Auburn in round 3 (1-0).

Men's Soccer hosted UAB in their second match of the season. Alabama proved to be too much for UAB, winning 8-1. Justin Pino scored 3 goals in 10 minutes for the Tide.

Rugby traveled to Birmingham over the weekend. Alabama used their B side to compete this weekend and came up short, 19-14. Two new memebers of Rugby scored tries over the weekend.

Bama Hockey hosted their preseason Crimson and White Game this past Friday. White went ahead 2-0 early in the game, but Crimson scored 7 unanswered to win 7-2.

Men's Soccer hosted Samford this weekend for their first match of the season. Alabama proved to be too much for Samford, winning 7-0.

Rugby hosted their first game of the season this weekend against Sewanee. Alabama climbed back from a 12 point defecit to tie the game at 19 at the end of regualtion.

Triathletes competed this weekend in Callaway Gardens, Georgia. Alabama made a great appearance, finishing 2nd in every category. Alabama also had the top male and female finishers as well.
