Outcomes of Involvement in University Recreation (UA-Ops 2007-2008)
As a result of involvement and participation in University Recreation programs, services and access to facilities students will develop an understanding and appreciation for positive personal health behavior and wellness.
As a result of employment within University Recreation, student staff will gain leadership opportunities that will aid in the development of self-confidence, self-esteem, improved communication skills, and the ability to analyze problems and use critical thinking skills to find positive solutions.
As a result of involvement and participation in University Recreation programs, services and access to facilities students will seek and embrace opportunities to understand and appreciate the differences in culture and identity of people different than oneself.
As a result of programmatic and service offerings through University Recreation the number and frequency of participation of Housing and Residential Community students will increase.
As a result of employment within University Recreation, professional staff will develop increased roles and involvement in campus-wide and external committees, input and association to represent the department and University and expand the professional development of the individual.
