Rule 1: The Game
Section 1: Rules of the Game
USGA Rules will be used during the competition. Lift, clean, and place rule will be in effect. This means that the participant can pickup their ball, clean it, and place it back down within one club length of the original place. The ball may not be placed any closer to the green. Exceptions are in sand bunkers or hazards. All local rules for the course will be used during the competition.
Section 2: Scoring
Points will be awarded according to 18-Hole score. Ties will be broken according to USGA rules.
Section 3: Scorecards
Scorecards must be signed by all of the players in the group. If the card is not signed the score will not be recorded.
Section 4: Tiebreaker
Ties will be broken according to USGA Rules by starting on the 18th hole and continuing back towards the 1st hole. Tiebreaking will continue according to USGA rules until winner is found.
Rule 2: Players
Section 1: Equipment
All players are required to have their own clubs to participate. Players must wear shoes to participate. Course rules will apply.
Section 2: Fees
All players are encouraged to show up early to pay for their round of golf.
Section 3: Alcohol
The use of alcohol is prohibited during play. Any participant found with possession of an alcohol substance will be asked to leave and will be charged with a forfeit.
Section 4. Sportsmanship
Unlike many sports, golf is played, for the most part, without the supervision of a referee or umpire. The game relies on the integrity of the individual to show consideration for other players and to abide by the Rules. All players should conduct themselves in a disciplined manner, demonstrating courtesy and sportsmanship at all times, irrespective of how competitive they maybe. This is the spirit of the game of golf.
