Hours Of Operation
The Aquatic Center has two separate swimming facilities. The largest pool is Olympic size (50-meter X 25-yards) with a full compliment of diving facilities from one meter boards through a ten meter platform.
Depending on the time of day, one of the pools is usually open for recreation or lap swimming. The center is also the practice facility for the Alabama Swimming and Diving Teams (men and women).

***Lap Swim Only over 13 yrs of age. Lap Swim - for individual or therapeutic programs, children under 13 not permitted.Hours are modified during final examinations and breaks after semesters. The Aquatic Center is usually closed on home football game dates and during official university vacation or holidays.

The Aquatic Center Weight/Fitness Room has Nautilus & Universal equipment, free weights, bench & leg press machines, squat racks, several Stairmasters and stationary bikes. Approximately 1800 sq. ft. with access to men and women’s locker/shower facilities. Students can get in with a valid Action Card. Memberships are available for alumni, faculty / staff and community through the main office: (205-348-5244).
